A favorite recipe of mine from back in Indiana. My Grandma Moore was kind enough to send me this recipe, and I wanted to archive it here for the future. Thanks grandma!
Ingredients:
1 Beaten Egg
2 Tablespoons Milk (or Evaporated Milk, for creamier noodles)
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Flour
2 Drops Yellow Food Coloring (Optional)
Directions:
In a small bowl, beat 1 egg. Add salt and milk. Add flour - a small amount at a time - till flour is gone. Dough should be smooth and stiff. One a lightly floured surface, roll dough into very thin circle - about twelve or thirteen inches in diameter.
Let stand until dough is partially dry. If necessary, lightly flour dough and roll as you would a jelly roll. With sharp knife, cur to desired width (1/8" fine, up to 1/2" wide). Shake out the strips and allow to dry before storing. The noodles take about 10 minutes to cook. You can use the noodles immediately without drying.
